Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 21, 2026 · Last updated: April 21, 2026
In plain terms
Kintari is a local-first desktop application. Your knowledge base, chat history, agent approvals, and settings live on your machine. This website collects no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising identifiers. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we are
Kintari is operated by Daniel Schlager ("Kintari", "we", "us"). The full imprint is published at www.danielschlager.ai. For privacy requests, email privacy@kintariapp.com.
Information we collect
Website visits. Our hosting provider (Infomaniak SA, Switzerland) automatically logs request metadata — IP address, timestamp, browser string, and requested URL — for operational purposes. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not used for profiling.
Downloads. Installers are served from Amazon S3 (AWS, US region). The storage provider logs access events (IP, timestamp, filename). We do not correlate these logs with any individual identity.
Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Cardholder data is handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS; we receive a transaction ID, amount, and billing email only. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data they collect during checkout.
License activation. When you activate a license key inside Kintari, the app may contact our license server to verify the key (key, machine fingerprint, app version, operating system). No workspace content, chat history, or file contents ever leave your machine through this check.
Information we do not collect
- No telemetry or analytics inside the app.
- No third-party advertising trackers on this website.
- No contents of your knowledge base, notes, chats, agent prompts, or screenshots.
- No location data beyond the coarse IP-derived country any web server sees.
Third-party LLM providers
If you configure Kintari to use a remote LLM (for example Anthropic, Google, OpenAI-compatible), your prompts and any attached content are transmitted directly from your machine to that provider under their terms and privacy policy. Kintari does not proxy, log, or store these calls. Choose your provider accordingly.
How we use information
We use operational logs to keep the website and download service secure and available. We use payment and license-activation data to fulfill your purchase, verify your license, and provide support.
Sharing
We share limited information with service providers that help us run the business: Infomaniak (website hosting, Switzerland), Amazon Web Services (installer downloads), Stripe (payments), and an email service provider for transactional messages. We do not sell personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents additionally have rights under the CCPA / CPRA; EU and UK residents under the GDPR / UK GDPR. Email privacy@kintariapp.com to exercise any right. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
Kintari is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we materially change this policy we will update the effective date above and, when appropriate, notify license holders by email.
